Glamorgan Guard Dogs focus is based on the belief that our customers are of the utmost importance.
Our entire security team is committed to meeting those needs. We are the best at what we do and as a result of this, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. With over 20 years experience in the Security Industry from military to civilian life, we aim to keep you and your property safe.
Glamorgan Guard Dogs was formed in 2010, after looking across and industry which has not been regulated correctly. We are always trying to better our service and promote trained security dog teams. We have provided our services to other security companies for events such as The Ryder Cup 2010, The Royal Welsh, private homes, stud farms, events, National Grid, Network Rail even police training centres!
The 1975 Guard Dog Act states that
The dog must be under the control of a capable handler at all times, unless it is secure and cannot roam freely.
The handler must be present to control the dog at all times.
You must have signage at every entrance clearly showing a warning that dog is being used to secure the premise. (Our signage is in Welsh & English in Wales)
Just imagine a child got in and was injured or killed by the dog, what protection would you have in court?
All of our Security Staff have been licensed by the SIA, plus our security dog handlers have also been trained by the NTIPDU to EDI Level 2 standard at least, which is more than up to British Standard BS 8517-1:2009. Being members of the NTIPDU means that we have access to a UK network of trained dog handlers.
